Something in White

Hello, Happy Tuesday!
The Texture theme for this week is "White" so I decided to take some of the cotton
I picked from a Cotton Field last fall.

I did a few adjustments and then used
Kim's 'Word' Texture @ 84% Soft Light and
11% Subtract

I tried Kim's Aurora Texture too
Soft Light @49%
It made it softer, simple and much whiter too~

I also added a few white splatterings on the side edges with the paint brush.

{mouse over on both for original}

You can see the uneven tones on both original photo's.
Another reason why I love using textures
It really evens them out ♥

which one do you like best?
I wonder if the second one is too light?

I hope you're all having a great week..

thank you for visiting and for looking :)
I can't wait to come around to see what everyone else has chosen for "white"

No, It's definitely not too light - I think! It's dreamy and beautiful! I just love this TT White edition and you did it the most beautiful way!

oh such lovely photos! I don't think the 2nd one is too light - but I do prefer the first. The textures really make it have a soft feel.

Oooh! They are both gorgeous! The first one is my favorite, but they are both so peaceful!

These are really lovely... I don't think the 2nd one is too light either - but anyway I prefer the first one. (I was actually wondering the same about my image, so it might be a common problem with these white editions...).

Btw, I really love your photography. Your images are always so full of beauty... so decided to be your newest follower! :-)

actually I prefer the second one, the script on the texture is softer. They're both beautifully pure, love the white theme this week!

Fantastic subject!! I love the whole set up. I think the wood paneling in the background adds a nice design touch. Nicely done!

Oh, I love these! Using cotton instead of flowers is so unexpected, but so beautiful. I think the first one is my favorite :)

this is so beautiful. i love cotton- they evoke sweet memories as a child when we drove past a field of cotton- the sight captured me and I have never forgotton the beauty.
Your work is lovely.

What a beautiful texture shot, the cotton looks so pretty.

And your post below with the cotton fields is very interesting, I always think of the past when I think of cotton fields , even here in New Zealand we know of the hardship endured by the slaves.

Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
